I’m not afraid of you anymore.
You use to terrify me. All my energy was spent avoiding you. Just to escape, I would distract myself with invented dramas and problems–simply to avoid facing you.
I ran miles and miles until I was lost and exhausted, but there you’d be. I could never lose you.
The other morning I sat with you and watched. Some harrowing moments later, you passed like a cloud on a windy day. Suddenly my fear turned to curiosity, and then I began searching for you, stalking you.
So true, and so well-written.
Thanks, Taylor 🙂
